Junior Project Manager

The Pricing People have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Project Manager to join our growing business in Leeds. The successful candidate will join our existing projects team working within a fast-paced and agile project environment.

As a Junior Project Manager, you will be expected to actively contribute in all stages of a project’s lifecycle, from pre-project, to project initiation, management, delivery and 2nd line support (when the project enters its operational stage). The typical day-to-day activities associated with this role include; pre-project reviews, project initiation, set-up and management, stakeholder management and communications, and working with other subject matter experts to mitigate, manage, escalate and resolve all related risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.

Key skills required for this position include (but not limited to): –

  • Ideally 1-2 years project management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties
  • Analytical problem-solving skills (essential)
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of IT Systems and Technology
  • Ability to facilitate and enable collaborative change discussions
  • An ability to translate complexity into simplicity
  • Ability to work within a team structure or autonomously
  • Working knowledge of mobile printing and scanning technology (not essential)
  • Understanding of Agile projects is advantageous (not essential)
  • Working knowledge of software packages such as; Slack, Wrike, JIRA & MS-Office (not essential)

 

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to): –

  • Liaising with colleagues, line management and account managers
  • Contributing to pre-project activities
  • Liaising with account managers, clients and business analysts to further clarify business needs
  • Creating project briefs and development tickets
  • Creating, monitoring and managing project plans
  • Liaising with suppliers (where required)
  • Investigating 2nd Line project issues and liaising with colleagues until resolved
  • Conducting project-based product testing (i.e. Android, mobile printing and scanning technologies)
  • Liaising with account managers and clients during User Acceptance Testing
  • And other additional duties (as and when required) needed to fulfill the role
